Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and also has Chinese origins, however her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from a Southern family. The couple divorced when Olivia was two years old and she was a child of her father and stepfather who was a member of the United States Air Force. They left Oklahoma, and lived in several places, but she spent most of her life in Tokyo. At this point, she appeared in various local theater productions, and then began modeling for the Japanese fashion business. Olivia moved from to the United States back to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of being an actor. After playing a couple of performances and a few small roles, her career took off on a very promising turn after she secured the part of Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed TV series Beyond the Break (2006) and also the role of Rob Schneider's receptionist Big Stan (2007). She hosts podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut" along with "The Daily Nut". She is a huge fan of surfing, and has been practising it ever since the television program Beyond the Break (2006). Also, she has an unofficial black belt in Taekwondo. When she was two, her mom remarried. The second time, she got married to a US Air Force serviceman. While the family was relocated several times, the majority of her existence was in Tokyo Japan, the location where her stepfather worked for the military. She was a journalist in the University of Oklahoma and also studied Japanese as well as dramatic arts and acting.
